What is Acheron World

MU Online running right in your browser, with nothing to install.

Acheron World is MU Online running inside your browser. You open a tab, log in and you're already in Lorencia — there's no client to download, no patch to apply and no install folder. The world is the same one you know: the same maps, the same monsters, the same skills, the same jewels and the same classic events.

What is the same as the MU you already played#

The game data comes from the original MU Online server files (Item, Skill, Monster, MonsterSetBase, Gate, Quest, Event). That means names, stats, level requirements, spawn tables and maps faithful to the original:

  • the 7 classic classes, from Dark Wizard to Rage Fighter, and the four from the newer seasons: Grow Lancer, Rune Wizard, Slayer and Gun Crusher — see classes;
  • the maps from Lorencia to Karutan, with the usual portals and level requirements — see maps and travel;
  • Chaos Machine, Master Level, excellent, ancient, sockets, 380 items — see items and systems;
  • the events that keep the server going: Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle, Kalima, Crywolf, Castle Siege and friends — see the Events section.

What is different here#

Some rules were made for a browser game, where sessions are usually short and you may close the tab in the middle of a hunt:

  • A real day and night cycle and real weather. The world has 48 minutes of real daytime, it rains, snows and thunders — and that changes EXP and drops. See day, night and weather.
  • Auto-hunt and MU Helper. Your character hunts on its own, with loot filter, auto potion and rebuff. See MU Helper and auto-hunt.
  • Offline progress. Been away for more than 5 minutes? When you come back you get exp and zen for the time away, capped at 8 hours. See first steps.
  • Global market. You can view and buy from any personal shop open on the server without leaving your spot. See global market.
  • Valuable items can't be dropped by mistake. Excellent, ancient, socketed or +7 and above items simply cannot be thrown away. See dropping items on the ground.
  • One account, one character per class. Each account has one slot per class, so 7 characters at most.

How to play now#

  1. Open the site and create an account — it takes less than a minute, no e-mail needed. See create account and character.
  2. Pick a class. If it's your first time in MU, start with Dark Knight: hits hard, takes a beating and doesn't depend on mana.
  3. Follow the tutorial in game and then the first steps.
