Creating an account and character

Registration with e-mail (up to 10 accounts per e-mail), name rules, the slot for each class and how to delete a character.

Getting into Acheron World takes a minute. There's no download, no confirmation e-mail and no activation key: you pick a username, a password and you're already on the server selection screen.

The account#

On the login screen, the registration button asks for three fields:

FieldRule
Username3 to 16 characters, letters, numbers and _ only
Password8 to 128 characters, not one of the most common ones
E-mailto recover the account; the same e-mail works for up to 10 accounts

Got the password wrong 5 times in a row? The account asks for a short wait before the next attempt (1, 5 and then 15 minutes), and creating many accounts from the same connection is also limited. The details are in account security.

After registering, the session is saved in the browser, so you don't have to type your password every time you open the tab. It lasts 7 days without use (30 at most).

One session per character#

If the same character logs in from another browser or another tab, the old session is saved and disconnected with the warning "Session replaced by new login". This prevents item duplication — and it also means nobody plays on your character at the same time as you.

The server#

The server screen shows the ACHERON group. The GLOBAL SERVER is the one that's online and holds 1000 players. The others (Brazil, USA, Europe, Vietnam) appear in the list but are offline — everyone plays in the same world, which keeps the global market full and the events crowded.

The character#

Name#

3 to 10 characters, letters and numbers only. No spaces, no accents, no symbols — the same rule as the original MU. Names that imitate the game or the staff (SISTEMA, GM, ADMIN, SUPORTE…) are reserved.

One slot per class#

Each account can have one character of each class, 7 at most. If you try to create a second Dark Knight, the server replies "This account already has a character of that class". That's on purpose: instead of filling the account with farm clones, the server encourages you to build a varied team.

Which class to choose#

The 11 classes are described in detail in classes. A summary to decide fast:

ClassStyleGood to start with?
Dark KnightMelee, lots of HPYes — the simplest
Dark WizardArea magic, fragileYes, if you like clearing groups
Fairy ElfBow and party buffsYes, and welcome in any party
Magic GladiatorHybrid, stronger earlyYes, but uses two attributes
Dark LordCommands the Dark Horse and the partyBetter as a second character
SummonerCurses and support magicRequires understanding debuffs
Rage FighterCombos and sustainBetter as a second character
Grow LancerLance and shield, chained hitsYes, if you want melee with agility
Rune WizardArea rune magic, fragileYes, if you like the Dark Wizard
SlayerTwin short swords, the fastestYes, if you want fast melee
Gun CrusherMagic firearm, from rangeYes — a mage with more life

Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord and Rage Fighter also get a level discount for travel: they enter maps with two thirds of the level required of the other classes (except in Crywolf). See maps and travel.

Deleting a character#

On the selection screen you can delete a character from your account — the game asks for the account password to confirm. It has to be offline — if it's logged in, the server refuses with "Character online — leave the game first". Deletion is permanent and frees the slot for that class.

Entering the world#

Pick your character and go in. If you've been away for more than 5 minutes, the first message in the chat will be your offline progress in exp and zen. From there, follow the first steps.
