Chaos Machine
The Chaos Goblin's 19 recipes — +10 to +15 refining, wings and capes, Fenrir, Seed and 380 items, with each one's zen cost.
The Chaos Machine is where gear stops being good and becomes rare. It takes an item from +9 to +15, creates the wings, assembles the Horn of Fenrir and applies the 380 item seal. It is also the server's biggest zen drain — every attempt charges you, and most of them destroy what you put in.
Where it is#
With the Chaos Goblin, in Noria, at coordinates (180, 103).
You open the machine in two ways:
- By clicking the goblin. If you are far away, your character walks there on its own and the window opens on arrival.
- With the ⚗ Chaos button in the MENU. This way you read every recipe from anywhere in the world, but the MIX button stays locked until you get close.
To open it you need to be within 6 tiles; to mix, within 8.
How the window works#
The 19 recipes are organized into five tabs — refining, wings and capes, Fenrir, Seed and Sphere, and others —, each showing how many you can already make. Each recipe is a card that opens with a click and shows:
- what it needs, with a "have / need" on each ingredient;
- the success chance and the zen cost, calculated live as you choose;
- what happens on success and what happens on failure.
You pick the items from a list and checkboxes, not by dragging — your inventory is only touched at the moment of the mix.
The rules that apply to everything#
- The zen is charged before the roll and never comes back, not even on failure.
- Ingredients are always consumed, whether it works or not.
- If there is no room in your inventory for the result, the mix is aborted without spending anything.
- Equipped items do not go in — unequip them first.
- It does not work with the personal shop open or during a trade.

Refining from +10 to +15#
The most common use of the machine. See also item levels.
| From → To | Chaos | Bless | Soul | Zen | Chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| +9 → +10 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2,000,000 | 60% |
| +10 → +11 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 4,000,000 | 60% |
| +11 → +12 | 1 | 3 | 3 | 6,000,000 | 50% |
| +12 → +13 | 1 | 4 | 4 | 8,000,000 | 50% |
| +13 → +14 | 1 | 5 | 5 | 10,000,000 | 40% |
| +14 → +15 | 1 | 6 | 6 | 12,000,000 | 30% |
On failure the item is destroyed.
Two modifiers change everything:
- Item with Luck: +20 percentage points. A +13 → +14 goes from 40% to 60%.
- Talisman of Luck: +1% each, up to 10. They are consumed even on failure.
- Talisman of Chaos Assembly: on failure, the item goes back to +0 instead of being destroyed. It is the insurance. It costs 15,000 cash.
- Chaos Combination Talisman (mastery talisman): on a piece of its tier, on failure the piece stays at the level it was. See below.
It accepts weapons, shields, armor and wings — wings going up to +15 here is a difference from the original MU.
Mastery combination talismans#
There are 12 Chaos Combination Talismans: Blood Angel, Dark Angel, Holy Angel, Soul (Awakening Soul), Blue Eye and Silver Heart, each in an (Armor) and a (Weapon) version — for example, Blue Eye Chaos Combination Talisman (Weapon).
- Each one works only on a piece of its own tier and type: the (Weapon) on weapons; the (Armor) on helm, armor, pants, gloves, boots and shield.
- In +10 to +15 refining: with the talisman, on failure the piece stays at the level it was — the Talisman of Chaos Assembly would send it back to +0, and with no talisman it is destroyed. When you use the tier's talisman, the Talisman of Chaos Assembly doesn't even show up in the recipe.
- When raising a mastery set to the next tier (Soul → Blue Eye → Silver Heart → Manticore): +10% chance with the talisman of the piece's current tier. See items from the newer seasons.
- The talisman is spent whatever the result, success or failure.
- Manticore has no talisman — it is the last tier.
- They drop from bosses (major boss 6%, medium boss 2%), drawn among the 12.
Wings#
Level 1 wings#
The starting point. Level 1 wings are Wings of Elf, Wings of Heaven, Wings of Satan and Wings of Curse, and the result is picked at random among the four.
- Target: a Chaos weapon — Chaos Dragon Axe, Chaos Nature Bow or Chaos Lighting Staff — +4 or higher and with an additional option.
- Required: at least 1 Jewel of Chaos.
- Optional: Jewel of Bless, Jewel of Soul and extra +4 items with an option.
- Zen: the chance × 10,000. At 100%, one million.
- On failure, everything is destroyed.
The chance comes from the summed value of what you put in. In chance points:
| Ingredient | Worth |
|---|---|
| Jewel of Bless | +5 points |
| Jewel of Soul | +3.5 points |
| Jewel of Chaos | +2 points |
| Chaos Dragon Axe +4 with option | +9 points |
| Chaos Dragon Axe +9 with option | +57 points |
The most direct path to 100% is 20 Jewel of Bless. The cheapest path is to refine the Chaos weapon well first — a +9 alone already delivers more than half.
The wing created has a 20% chance of coming out with Luck and a 21% chance of coming out with an additional option. It never comes out excellent.
Level 2 wings#
- Target: any level 1 wing, no +N requirement.
- Required: 1 Jewel of Chaos + 1 Loch's Feather.
- Optional: excellent items +4 or higher, which add chance.
- Zen: 5,000,000. Chance cap: 90%.
- On failure, everything is destroyed.
Result picked at random among Wings of Spirits, Wings of Soul, Wings of Dragon, Wings of Darkness and Wings of Despair.
What matters here is the level of the level 1 wing you sacrifice:
| Level 1 wing | Chance it gives on its own |
|---|---|
| +0 | 3% |
| +4 | 5% |
| +7 | 10% |
| +9 | 23% |
| +11 | 60% |
| +13 | blows past the 90% cap |
The reading is clear: take the level 1 wing to +11 or +13 before transforming it. A +13 wing alone guarantees the 90%, without needing any extra excellent item.
A level 2 wing has a 20% chance of coming out with Luck, 21% of an additional option and 20% of being born with an excellent option.
Capes#
Same recipe as the level 2 wing, with one difference: instead of Loch's Feather, use the Crest of Monarch. The result is 50% Cape of Lord and 50% Cape of Fighter.
Watch out: the recipe does not filter by class. The Cape of Lord is the Dark Lord's and the Cape of Fighter is the Rage Fighter's — you can spend five million and a wing and get the wrong class's cape.
Condor Feather and level 3 wings#
The Condor Feather is locked today: it asks for a level 2 wing +9 with option + Jewel of Chaos + Jewel of Creation + Soul Bundle + ancient +7 items with option (60% cap), and ancient items are not yet obtainable on the server.
The level 3 wing asks for Condor Feather + Condor Flame + Jewel of Chaos + Jewel of Creation + Bless Bundle + Soul Bundle + excellent +9 items with option, with a 40% cap. Condor Flame already drops from monsters of level 100 or higher, very rarely, and both feathers are in the cash shop. The bottleneck is the jewel packs (Bless Bundle and Soul Bundle, of 10): the machine no longer packs jewels, so only a pack you already have will do.
2.5 wings and 4th wings#
They arrived with the items from the newer seasons on October 8, 2026. Unlike the other wing recipes, the wing always comes out in your class's family — there is no roll between classes.
2.5 wing (level 290): Cloak of Death (Dark Lord and Rage Fighter), Wings of Chaos (Dark Knight and Magic Gladiator), Wings of Magic (Dark Wizard, Magic Gladiator and Summoner) or Wings of Life (Elf).
- Target: a level 2 wing or cape +9 with additional option.
- Required: Jewel of Chaos + Jewel of Creation + 10 Jewel of Bless + 10 Jewel of Soul.
- Extras: at least 1 excellent item +7 with option; extras add chance by their value.
- Chance: value of the excellent items ÷ 2,000,000 + 1, up to 50%. Zen: chance × 200,000.
- On failure, everything is destroyed.
4th wing (total level 800, that is, 400 + Master Level 400): Angel Wings (Dark Wizard), Devil Wings (Dark Knight), Genius Wings (Elf), Destruction Wings (Magic Gladiator), Control Wings (Dark Lord), Eternal Wings (Summoner) or Judgment Cloak (Rage Fighter). To wear it, besides the level, it requires the fourth class (The Awakening).
It is made in two steps, with the Garuda materials:
Step 1 — Garuda's Feather (Wings and capes tab):
- Target: a level 3 wing or 2.5 wing +9 with additional option.
- Required: 5 Golden Sentence + Jewel of Chaos + Jewel of Creation + 10 Jewel of Bless + 10 Jewel of Soul.
- Extras: at least 1 excellent item +9 with option.
- Chance: value of the excellent items ÷ 3,000,000 + 1, up to 60%. Zen: chance × 200,000.
- On failure, everything is destroyed.
Step 2 — the 4th wing:
- Required: Garuda's Feather + Garuda's Flame + Jewel of Chaos + Jewel of Creation + 20 Jewel of Bless + 20 Jewel of Soul.
- Extras: at least 1 excellent item +11 with option.
- Chance: value of the excellent items ÷ 5,000,000 + 1, up to 40%. Zen: chance × 500,000.
- On failure, everything is destroyed.
You get your class's 4th wing. The old recipe (wing +11 + Condor Flame) no longer exists — if you already have a 4th wing, you lose nothing.
- Garuda's Flame drops in Deep Dungeon 2 to 5 and in Red Smoke Icarus (rare). The Deep Dungeon Gorgon can drop the flame (5%) and a ready Garuda's Feather (1%).
- Golden Sentence drops on the master maps and from the fixed-element elementals of Acheron and Debenter.
| Wing | Extra damage (+0 → +15) | Damage taken that gets through (+0 → +15) |
|---|---|---|
| Level 2 | 32% → 47% | 75% → 45% |
| 2.5 | 35% → 50% | 68% → 38% |
| Level 3 | 39% → 69% | 61% → 31% |
| 4th | 45% → 75% | 55% → 25% |
Both use loose jewels, not packs: Bless and Soul stack up to 100 in the inventory.
Wings of Conqueror#
The Chaos Castle Survival champion's wing. The monthly champion gets the Conqueror's Badge in the Gremory Case, and the recipe (Wings and capes tab) is 100%:
- Conqueror's Badge + Jewel of Chaos + Jewel of Creation + 10 Jewel of Bless + 10 Jewel of Soul + 10,000,000 zen → Wings of Conqueror with 1 or 2 excellent options.
Chaos Castle Survival is turned off for now: the badge counts once the event comes back.
Horn of Fenrir#
The Fenrir is the game's most striking mount, and the only one with a real effect: mounted on it you can use the Plasma Storm skill. See pets and mounts.
There are three stages:
| Stage | Ingredients | Zen | Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fragment of Horn | 1 Chaos + 20 Splinter of Armor + 20 Bless of Guardian | free | 70% |
| Broken Horn | 1 Chaos + 10 Claw of Beast + 5 Fragment of Horn | free | 50% |
| Horn of Fenrir | 1 Chaos + 1 Broken Horn + 3 Jewel of Life | 10,000,000 | 30% |
On failure at any stage, everything is destroyed.
The three materials — Splinter of Armor, Bless of Guardian and Claw of Beast — drop from any monster of level 60 to 150, 1 in 1,000 per kill each. See what's worth farming.
Do the math before you start: reaching a Broken Horn takes, on average, 5 Fragment of Horn at 50%, meaning 10 attempts, each one costing 5 fragments — which in turn cost 20 Splinter and 20 Bless of Guardian at 70%. The Fenrir is expensive in time, not in zen.
Fenrir Black and Fenrir Blue#
A Horn of Fenrir with no option at all can be upgraded:
| Version | Sacrifices | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Black | a weapon +4 with option | attack version |
| Blue | an armor piece or shield +4 with option | defense version |
Both cost 1 Jewel of Chaos + 5 Jewel of Life + 10,000,000 zen, with a chance proportional to the value of the sacrificed item, up to 80%.
On failure, the Horn of Fenrir is destroyed too. Only try it with a good chance.
A Fenrir that is already Black or Blue cannot be reprocessed.
Item 380#
Turning a piece of gear +4 or higher with an additional option into a 380 costs 1 Jewel of Guardian + 1 Jewel of Harmony + 10,000,000 zen, with a 50% chance (or 70% if the item is +7 or higher).
On failure the item stays intact — only the jewels are lost. See 380 items — and check the list of items that actually gain bonuses before spending.
Jewel packs (unpacking only)#
The Chaos Machine does not pack jewels: jewels stack up to 100 in the inventory, and packing became a useless step. See jewels.
An old pack still opens: right-click the pack in your inventory. It costs 1,000,000 zen and requires free space for the jewels.
Seed and Seed Sphere#
The Seed and Seed Sphere recipes, which would fill the sockets, also depend on ancient items and therefore are not accessible today.
What the Chaos Machine doesn't have#
If you came from another server, note that there are no Dinorant, Uniria, mount talisman or jewel packing recipes here. The elemental ones (Mithril and Errtel) are in the Elemental tab — see Pentagram and Errtel. Those systems are not part of this server.
The wing talismans, which would let you choose which wing comes out of the mix instead of rolling, exist in the item table but have no source at all — they do not drop, are not sold and do not come from events. In practice, the wing result is always random.
A Chaos Machine plan#
If you are just starting to mess with the machine, here is the order that spends the least:
- Save Jewel of Chaos. Everything asks for it.
- Take your main gear to +9 with Bless and Soul before thinking about coming here.
- Buy a Talisman of Chaos Assembly before the first +10 attempt. Losing a +9 hurts.
- For wings: refine the Chaos weapon to +9 or higher, or gather 20 Bless. Do not attempt a wing with a chance below 50% — you lose the weapon.
- From wing 1 to wing 2: take the level 1 wing to +11 before transforming.
- Only do 380 on a +7 item, and from the right list.
