Duel
A one-on-one challenge up to 10 kills, with respawn next to your opponent and one hour of Gladiator's Glory for the winner.
A duel is clean PvP: two players, ten rounds, nobody interferes and nobody becomes a PK. It's the way to settle an argument without consequences.
How to challenge#
Use /duel Nome or the ⚔ PvP panel. The invite lasts 30 seconds. The other player answers with /duel aceitar or /duel recusar.
The requirements#
The server checks a list before accepting:
- both at level 50 or higher;
- both on the same map, which can't be an event map or a free PvP area;
- both outside a safe zone;
- neither of them dead, trading or with a personal shop open;
- neither of them already in a duel or with a pending invite;
- neither of them "in combat" — whoever traded blows with someone in the last 60 seconds can't enter a duel. This stops you from using a duel to escape a fight.
You can turn off incoming invites in the PvP panel options.
Duel rules#
- Score up to 10 kills. Whoever gets there first wins.
- The duel happens in place. There is no arena: you fight where you are. Map 64 "Duel Arena" belongs to the ranked arena, which has a queue, MMR and ranking.
- Nobody else joins. While the duel runs, the two of you only trade damage with each other: third parties can't attack you and you can't attack third parties.
- When you die, you respawn next to your opponent, at a random spot up to 6 tiles away — and the opponent is fully healed (health, mana, stamina and shield). Each round starts clean.
- Auto-hunt is turned off for both at the start.
How the duel ends#
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| Someone reaches 10 kills | victory |
| 60 seconds without a single blow between the two | ends with no winner |
| 20 minutes of duration | ends with no winner |
| Someone leaves the map | ends |
| Someone disconnects | ends |
The prize#
The winner gets Gladiator's Glory for 1 hour: a title that shows on the nameplate for everyone. There is no attribute bonus — it's a trophy, and that's what makes it valuable.
The start and the result of every duel are announced to the whole server.
The PvP panel keeps your duel wins and losses, separate from the general PvP stats.
While the duel runs#
The duel appears in the event panel, with the score and the remaining time, as if it were an event — for both you and your opponent.
Tips#
- Don't challenge right after a fight. The "in combat" lock lasts 60 seconds.
- Choose the terrain. Since the duel is in place, a tight map favors melee and an open map favors ranged attackers.
- Potions count. There is no rule against drinking — fill your bag first.
- The shield (SD) is restored every round, and it grows with the square of the level. At high levels, a 10-round duel is a test of endurance. See attributes.
