Marriage

A ceremony with a priest, teleport to your spouse for 10 zen, and a heart on the nameplate.

Two characters can marry before a priest. The practical benefit is only one, but it is a good one: teleport to your spouse's side, at any time, for 10 zen. Add to that a heart with your partner's name on the nameplate and an announcement to the whole server.

Requirements#

• Opposite sexes. In MU, Fairy Elf and Summoner are female; the other five classes are male. So a marriage always pairs an Elf or Summoner with a character of another class.
• Both online.
• Both within 6 tiles of a priest.
• Neither of them already married.
• Level 1 is enough — there is no level requirement.

Where the priests are#

In practice everyone marries in Devias: Sebina is the same NPC as in the class quests, she is in a city and does not require a Lost Map.

The ceremony#

One proposes with /marry Nome (or /casar com Nome) and the other answers with /marry aceitar within 30 seconds.

Cost: 100,000 zen, paid by whoever proposed.

When you marry, the whole server is notified.

What the marriage gives you#

1. Teleport to your spouse. The /tracing command takes you to their side, on any map, for 10 zen, with a 1 minute cooldown. It does not work if either of you is inside an event, or if your spouse is dead or offline.
2. Heart on the nameplate — everyone sees ♥ Name above your head.
3. Entry and exit alerts for your spouse in chat.

There are no experience or stat bonuses. Marriage here is convenience and identity, not power.

Even so, the teleport is genuinely useful: with a couple playing together, one becomes the other's "anchor point". Leave one character parked in a good spot and the other goes there for 10 zen, instead of paying 15,000 for travel.

Divorce#

If their mail box is full, the zen is credited directly on their next login. Use /divorce or /marry divorciar.

The whole server is also notified of the divorce.
