Devil Square
Twenty minutes of killing where every monster is worth 4 from your spot, twelve times a day, with no entry cost at all.
Devil Square is the server's experience farm event: you enter an arena that fills up with monsters in waves, kill as many as you can in 20 minutes and leave with experience and zen proportional to your placement. While the event runs, every monster is worth the experience of 4 monsters from the typical spot for your level, on any floor.
It's the easiest event to enter and the one with the best return per time. If you're only doing one event a day, do this one.
When it happens#
Twelve times a day, every two hours, always at 30 minutes past the hour: 00:30, 02:30, 04:30, and so on until 22:30.
Registration opens 5 minutes before and closes at the start time. The event panel shows the clock and the Join button during that window.
There is room for 15 players per floor.
How to join#
Click Join in the event panel when the Devil Square row shows OPEN.
You don't need an item, zen or an NPC. Unlike the original MU, here you don't need an Invitation to Devil Square: just be at the right level and click.
There is a daily entry limit, counting Devil Square, Blood Castle and Chaos Castle together (3 per day, more with VIP), and characters with 4 or more PK kills can't enter.
You are teleported at once to the floor matching your level. Each floor has its own arena: you only share the space with players in the same range.
The floors#
| Floor | Level | Level (MG, DL and RF) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15 to 130 | 10 to 110 |
| 2 | 131 to 180 | 111 to 160 |
| 3 | 181 to 230 | 161 to 210 |
| 4 | 231 to 280 | 211 to 260 |
| 5 | 281 to 330 | 261 to 310 |
| 6 | 331 or higher | 311 or higher |
The floor is chosen by the game, from your level. Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord and Rage Fighter enter one bracket earlier — the same discount they get for traveling.
What to do inside#
Kill. Monsters arrive in waves, and the waves stack — none of them leaves the arena until the end:
- at the start, two species from your floor;
- at 5 minutes, two more;
- at 10 minutes, two more;
- at 15 minutes, the wave boss: Gorgon on floor 1, Balrog on 2, Hydra on 3, Death Beam Knight on 4, Fire Golem on 5 and Phoenix of Darkness on 6.
A dead monster comes back 1 second later, at the same spot — the arena never empties. The ranking is by number of kills.
The panel shows your kill counter live.
- Every monster is worth 4× the experience of a monster from the typical spot for your level while the event runs. It uses the level of whoever receives it: level 50 and level 350 each get 4× their own spot. Party, VIP and weekend stack on top.
- There is no PvP.
- You can't travel out. The exit is time running out or death.
Dying removes you from the event and sends you to Noria. You lose the round's reward, so it's worth playing carefully and keeping potions in your bag. See buffs, debuffs and potions.
The rewards#
At the end of the 20 minutes, everyone is teleported out and rewarded by placement.

Jewel#
The 1st place on each floor (with at least one kill) has a 40% chance of a Rare jewel, delivered to the Gremory Case — see Bosses, invasions and events.
Beyond that, the final prize is small. The real value of Devil Square isn't it — it's the 4× experience during the 20 minutes, which is usually worth much more than the numbers in the table.
Strategy#
- Bring an area skill. The ranking is by kills, and whoever clears groups wins.
- Don't die. Dying wipes your round, and the participation prize alone makes entering worth it.
- Go in a party. The party's 20% bonus stacks with the event's 4× experience, and the members protect each other.
- Fill your bag with potions beforehand. There is no shop inside.
- If your goal is experience and not placement, focus on killing nonstop, not on fighting for first place.
