The interface, part by part
Bottom bar, inventory, side menu, central window, event panel, chat and minimap.
The Acheron World screen has six regions, and each one does one thing. Once you understand where everything lives, the rest of the game becomes easy. For the keys, see keyboard and mouse shortcuts.
The bottom bar#
It's the command center. From left to right:
- Red orb (health). The liquid actually sloshes and the number appears on top.
- Central plate, with three rows:
- on top, the SD (shield) meter on the left, the 4 potion slots in the middle and the AG (stamina) meter on the right;
- in the middle, the skill bar: one basic attack cell (
`) plus 9 slots, on keys1to9. Each slot shows the key and the countdown while the skill is recharging; - at the bottom, the experience bar with the percentage.
- Blue orb (mana).
The 4 potion slots always show the best potion of each type you're carrying and the amount. Click or use Q, W, E, R.
A skill slot can appear golden, when it's the armed skill, or marked as requires weapon — in that case it only works with the right weapon equipped. See skills.
Click an empty slot to choose which skill goes there.
The menu bar and the MENU#
The everyday shortcuts sit in the bottom right corner: Inventory (I) · Char (C) · Skills · Map (M) · Guild (G) · Shop · MENU (U).
MENU opens a panel with every system in the game, grouped by category, with no scroll bar:
- Events come first. Each event shows its state right now: LIVE, entry open (with the time left to close), in 12 min or the time of the next one (in your device's time zone). The Now and next strip lists what is happening and what comes right after — including Devil Square, Blood Castle, Chaos Castle, Kalima and the world boss; tapping one opens the event page or the event list. 🐉 Bosses · 👹 Invasions · 🐺 Crywolf · 🏛 Temple of Illusion · 🛡 Imperial Fortress · 🏰 Castle Siege · ⚑ Team vs Team
- Competition — Ranking, Ranked arena, PvP, Records, Gens.
- Progress — Daily reward, Daily missions, Quests, Season pass, Master.
- Items & crafting — Chaos Machine, Refinery, Legendary gems, Gremory Case, Pet.
- Trade & social — Market, Personal shop, Character market, Social.
- Hunting & system — Auto-hunt, MU Helper, Options, Balance, Help, Report bug.
At the top of the panel there is a search: type part of the name (for example "rank" or "gem") and press Enter to open the first result. Esc closes it.
The – button shrinks the whole bar; the MENU pill brings it back.
The central window#
A single window, with tabs on the side, that hosts almost all the big pages. The tabs are grouped in the same categories as the MENU: only the group of the open page is expanded, and clicking another group's name shows its tabs.
Only one page is open at a time. Clicking the tab that's already open closes the window.
The inventory#
Opens with I or V. It's a grid of 8 × 8 = 64 slots, with two pages (tabs I and II). Tabs III, IV and V appear locked — they're not released yet.
On the left is the equipment doll, with 12 slots:
[Mount] [Helm] [Wings]
[Weapon] [Armor] [Shield]
[Gloves] [Pants] [Boots]
[Pendant] [Ring] [Ring]Each item takes the real number of MU cells: a big sword takes 4 cells, a jewel takes 1. See types and slots.
At the bottom are the Sell all button (which only sells equipment, and doesn't touch your jewels and potions) and your totals of zen and cash.
The item tooltip#
Hover — or click to pin it. The tooltip shows, in this order: name (colored by rarity), damage or defense, durability, what it's for (in the case of jewels and event items), requirements in green or red depending on whether you meet them, classes that can use it, and the options in blue: Skill, Luck, additional option and excellent.
The name color already says a lot:
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Purple | has a socket |
| Green | is excellent |
| Dark blue | +9 or higher |
| Light blue | +5 to +8 |
| Gold | common item |
The warehouse#
Opens through the dialogue of a warehouse NPC. It's a grid of 8 × 15 with fields to deposit and withdraw zen. See vault.
The left column#
- Server card, with the game time, the weather and the FPS. Click it to open the full bonus table — see day, night and weather.
- Buff bar: one chip per buff, with icon, remaining seconds and a bar. Debuffs appear in red. There's also a card adding up all your EXP bonus (VIP, guild, weather, event) and, at night, a card warning that monsters are 20% stronger.
- Quests, with the progress of each active quest. See quests.
The right column#
- Minimap, drawn over the real terrain: green NPC, gray item, red monster, yellow player, blue party member and you in gold. Click to open the big map, which shows your coordinates, the names of those nearby and the little skulls of the hunting spots (they do not show on the small minimap).
- Party, with up to 5 members, class, level and live health bar. See party.
- Events — the most important panel on the screen.
Clean UI#
The crossed-eye button under the minimap (or Alt+Z) hides the whole interface: only the chat and four thin HP, SD, MP and AG bars in the top corner remain. Skills, potions and attacks keep working; opening the inventory or talking to an NPC shows just that window on top. To go back, press Esc or click the eye in the right corner. Your choice is remembered, and the Clean UI line in Options → General also turns it on and off. On mobile the eye sits next to the chat button, and the joystick and attack buttons stay on screen.
The event panel#
Each row is an event, with the name and a clock:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| time counting down | the event is still going to open; the clock counts down to it |
| OPEN (green) + Join button | registration is open right now |
| INSIDE | you're in the event, and the clock counts down to the end |
When you're inside, a second blue row shows the current objective — the Blood Castle stage, how many are still alive in Chaos Castle, how many kills are left in Devil Square. See Events.
The chat#
Bottom left corner. The tabs filter what you read and choose which channel you speak on:
ALL · GLOBAL · MAP · PARTY · WHISPER · SYSTEM
The ◐ button cycles five levels of background transparency, from invisible to solid. The log keeps the last 60 lines. What you say in the local channel appears as a balloon over your character's head.
System, loot, party, guild and whisper messages have different colors. The command list is in shortcuts.
Other on-screen warnings#
- Map name in big letters when you arrive on a new map.
- Boss bar at the top when there's a live boss nearby — its nameplate gets a crown.
- Death screen with the warning about returning to town. See death and resurrection.
- Colored damage numbers: white is normal, blue is critical, green is excellent, orange is double hit, magenta is combo, gold is triple, purple is reflection, cyan is damage absorbed by the shield and red is damage on you.
Nameplates#
Above everyone's head:
- Player — the guild in light blue, the name in gold and, if selling, 🏪 with the name of the personal shop.
- Monster — name and health bar. Boss in orange with a crown.
- Item on the ground — the item name in gold.
All of this can be hidden in the options if you want more FPS.
