Vault
120 slots and 2 billion zen stored for free, by the Safety Guardian.
The vault — or warehouse — is your depot. It holds 120 item slots and up to 2 billion zen, and charges no fee to deposit or withdraw.
How to open it#
Talk to the Safety Guardian, the warehouse NPC, and choose "Open the vault". You need to be within 8 tiles of him.
The vault opens alongside your inventory, in a grid of 8 columns by 15 rows.
Moving items#

Only items in your inventory go to the vault — unequip first if you want to store something on your character.
An item that is too tall (over 15 cells) does not fit, but that does not exist in the game today.
Zen#
The zen field has the Deposit and Withdraw buttons. The vault cap is the same as the character's: 2 billion.
There is no fee in either direction.
What it is for in practice#
Space. Your inventory has 64 slots per page and each item takes up its real size — in practice you carry around 30 pieces. The vault almost quadruples that.
Safety from your own fingers. A stored item is not dropped by mistake, does not go into Sell all, and does not end up in a trade by accident.
Zen reserve. Store the zen you are not going to spend today. This keeps you from spending it by accident on a mix and keeps your reserve away from your pocket's 2 billion cap.
What to store#

What not to store#
Low-level potions, common gear from ranges you already passed, and items with no option at all. Sell them: it is zen for VIP.
The guild vault#
That is something else, and it serves another purpose: a collective zen vault, automatically supplied by a slice of the zen members drop. See guild.
An extra page?#
The vault panel shows a disabled "buy page" button, marked as coming soon. For now the vault has only one page.
