Switch Mode (quick gear swap)

A 2nd gear set stored on your character, worn all at once with a button or Ctrl+F.

Switch Mode comes from MU Season 16. It stores a 2nd gear set on your character and swaps what you are wearing for it all at once — a hunting set and a PvP set, for example.

How to unlock it#

• Switch Mode is unlocked once per character, forever, with the Switch Scroll (right-click it in your inventory).
• The Switch Scroll is sold in the NPC shops, Events tab, for 3,000,000 zen.
• Each character needs its own scroll.

The slots#

The 2nd set has 12 slots: weapon, shield (or 2nd weapon), helm, armor, pants, gloves, boots, wings, pet, pendant and the 2 rings.

Mounts, Guardians and Muuns don't go in: mounts and Guardians are summoned from the inventory, and the Muun has its own slot.

How to use it#

1. In the inventory, click the ⇄ 2nd set button, next to Sell all. The Switch Mode panel opens.
2. Drag items from your inventory into the slots. Right-clicking a slot returns the piece to your inventory (it needs room).
3. Click Swap now or press Ctrl+F: you put on the stored set, and what you were wearing goes into the 2nd set.

To go back, swap again.

Rules#

• At least 1.5 seconds between swaps.
• No swapping during a trade with another player or with your personal shop open.
• If any piece that would go on doesn't fit — level, stats, class, durability, the MG's weapon pair —, the whole swap is undone and the game tells you which piece it was. Nothing is left half done.
